Barilife® Bidodici mille is a product that contains Vitamin B12 that, at the optimal doses, is indicated for the nutritional needs of obese patients who have undergone bariatric surgery.
It has been demonstrated that the very nature of these surgical procedures makes it hard for the body to get the micro and macro nutrients it needs and contributes in this way to patients developing a nutritional deficiency.
Vitamin B12 is the most common nutritional deficiency in patients who have undergone bariatric surgery. This much is due to the fact that they have an inadequate production of intrinsic factor, which is necessary for the intestinal absorption of vitamin. The sublingual form utilizes an absorption pathway that, unlike the gastroenterological, does not require the intrinsic factor to be present, and thus it guarantees the maximum absorption of vitamin B12 in the case of bariatric surgery.
Using Barilife® Bidodici mille helps to effectively and appropriately correct vitamin B12 deficiency, which can be responsible for anemia (feeling fatigued and general tiredness), elevated levels of homocysteine, neuropathy and cognitive difficulties.
Barilife® Bidodici mille contains 1000 mcg of Vitamin B12 present as Cyanocobalamin and Methylcobalamin.
The presence of Cyanocobalamin guarantees the efficiency of the different metabolic pathways in which Methylcobalamin and the Adenosylcobalamin, its metabolites, are involved. Indeed, while Methylcobalamin, as in the Barilife® Bidodici mille pharmaceutical formula and immediately ready for use, is involved in the Erythropoiesis process and in developing the nervous system, Adenosylcobalamin is involved in both myelin formation and carbohydrate, fat and amino-acid metabolism.
Using Barilife® Bidodici mille, then, guarantees an excellent supply of each of the two Vitamin B12 active metabolites, by ensuring that the normal physiological processes are re-established in an adequate and balanced manner.
